The recipes in this book are usually for 4 or 4-6 people, unless otherwise specified. When I say 4-6, this means it will feed 4 (with rice or Indian flatbread as an accompaniment) or 6 if the dish is served with a couple of other dishes. I typically always cook a little more than I would need as nearly all the recipes make great leftovers, most freeze well, and you never know when an extra guest may pop by.
