South Indian Cuisine

This is the cuisine of the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Telangana. The cuisine of South India features rice, lentils, and characteristic favorites like idlis and dosas, often collectively grouped as tiffin. The seasonings are bold, with generous use of coconut and curry leaves. Famous in southern India are lentil stews such as Sambhar and kottus.
