These biscuits are made with a slacker dough than the rolled biscuits, soft enough to be dropped from a spoon or piped on to a baking sheet, without needing to be rolled out first. Make sure the shapes are the same size to ensure even baking, and space them well apart as the dough tends to spread.

Free-form
Place mounds or drop teaspoonfuls of the dough on to the baking sheet.
Piped
Fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle with dough. Pipe rosettes on to baking sheet.
