To enhance the appearance, flavour and texture of biscuits, try the following.
Sprinkling sugar
For a crunchy texture, sprinkle demerara sugar on to shapes before baking. For extra crunch, add more sugar after baking, if you like.
Chocolate covering
Spread melted chocolate over one side of biscuits after baking, then mark with a fork if you like. Let set, chocolate-side up, on a rack.
