Store white rice in a cool, dry place. An unopened box will keep for up to a year. Cooked rice should be cooled quickly and will store for up to 2 days in the fridge. Brown rice has a higher fat content than white, so can only be kept for a much shorter time. It is best stored in the fridge or in a cool place to prevent it going rancid.
