  • About
March-December. The most common of all salad plants, and one that comes in many different varieties. I think that the delicately flavoured beautiful green lettuces without a pronounced heart are preferable to the pale varieties with firm hearts, which to me lack flavour. Seasoning: olive oil, or just cream and lemon juice.
