Launched in February 2001, Gastronomica: The Journal of Food and Culture offers an innovative approach to the study of food and its role in our lives. This quarterly journal, published by the University of California Press under the editorship of Darra Goldstein, seeks to make readers aware of food as an important source of knowledge about different cultures and societies.
