  • About

Stories about the derivation of the name Oh Henry! still circulate today. Perhaps this white fudge and caramel covered log, layered with peanuts and milk chocolate, was named after Hank Aaron, the famous baseball player, or William Sydney Porter, the writer whose pseudonym was O. Henry. As it turns out, the Oh Henry! Nut Roll is named after a young man whose visits to the young salesgirls at the Williamson Candy company in Chicago prompted them to call out “Oh Henry” when they wanted him to move large barrels of corn syrup for them (and possibly attract his attention).
