All game freezes very well. Bag whole birds separately or cut the game into pieces; remove from the bone or finely chop. Remember to label what you freeze or you get interesting mixtures. I reduce my game stock down as much as possible and freeze in ice cube trays, then pop out the cubes and bag them so that I can just take out one or two as I need them. Do remember to use your frozen game throughout the year, shooting wives are forever sorting out the bottom of the freezer in September to make room for the new season’s crop, and like all things that freeze, they are better used within 6 months.
