Buying Look for soft fruits that yield to gentle pressure but aren’t squishy or shriveled. Ripe pineapples will be slightly soft to the touch, and the stem end should have a sweet aroma.
Storing Let ripen at room temperature; refrigerate cut fruit in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Quick tip For a quick snack that requires little prep work, halve a ripe kiwifruit lengthwise and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
Using Slice and eat as a snack; add to salads, salsas, and smoothies.
