Traditionally made from buffalo milk, which is boiled and cooled, then poured into a clay pot to set. Curd with treacle is a popular dessert in Sri Lanka. Buffalo curd is not widely available in Australia, however if you are lucky enough to find buffalo yoghurt, it’s very similar. Substitute with a thick unsweetened natural yoghurt, such as Greek-style yoghurt, and make sure you choose a full-fat yoghurt for the best results.
