Also known as pennywort, this leafy green herb is a member of the parsley family and has small fan-shaped leaves and a fine stem. It is used as a medicinal herb and is highly regarded in Ayurvedic medicine. Native to Sri Lanka, it also grows in northern Queensland. It is mostly available during summer in Australia, and is sold in some Asian grocers. Substitute with flat-leaf parsley.
