  • About

Mora is the fruit and gelso the tree. Fortunate are those to find this tree already growing in their garden. The mulberry attains to a very great age, like the fig, to which family it belongs. There is a species with white fruits, Morus alba, sweeter, of less substance. The fruits of both reach their perfection in Mediterranean areas, and are less acid than when grown in northern climates, their flavour inexplicable, refreshing. In August it is a delight to climb into this tree.
