British and imports. Fashionable in America, where they call it arugula. Some supermarkets now sell expensive, fancy little packs, although this peppery leaf is best eaten lightly dressed in salad quantities to accompany grilled fish, as in the Eastern Mediterranean. Available here in proper-sized bunches quite cheaply from Cypriot, Greek and Turkish shops in spring.
