  • About
This aromatic leaf comes from the same plant family as mint. There are green and red shiso leaves but the green ones are more widely available. Shiso leaves can be found in Japanese/Asian grocery stores. You will often find them packed in a plastic tray or in a bunch in the chilled section. The green shiso leaf is typically used as a herb in cold dishes and is also great for tempura. The red shiso leaf is often used when dyeing pickles red.
