Key Flavours for Cheese

Appears in

  • About

Nuts. Try cracked walnuts and nutty breads, particularly those with a sweet raisin bite.

Tomatoes. Make a nice little cherry tomato salad to go with your cheese selection instead of using more obvious fruit ideas.

Avocado. An avocado salad works well with a harder cheese or a crumbly goat’s cheese.

Leeks, spinach and broccoli. Very few vegetables can’t partner cheese, but these green vegetables take on the flavour of blue cheeses particularly well.

Pickles. There are so many pickles that were just made for cheese. Look for fruit-based ones like date or pear, sweet pickled peppers or beetroot.
