I worked for Brindisa (Britain’s top (and best!) Spanish food importer) at the beginning of my career in this food lark. They are the best Spanish food importer in the business. Hands down. I don’t know if they still can, but they used to be able to say they sold food to every Michelin-starred restaurant in Britain. I stopped working for them in 2008 and they still ask me to their parties. They’re a joy. Abi and Cristina, James, Monika and, of course my dear dear friend Rudi Von Vollmar are all at the top of their game.
