REMARKS Maximum length 100 cm. Shape as you would expect from the name. Not found in northern Italian waters (nor in the Black Sea), but abundant around Sicily and common in the southern parts of the Mediterranean.
CUISINE. Not as good as the angel-shark, but equal in merit to the best rays.
