REMARKS Maximum length 90 cm. Greyish. Molva molva (Linnaeus) is a similar Atlantic species which may be found in the western Mediterranean. It is larger, less elongated and more highly esteemed. It is the English ling and the Spanish maruca.

CUISINE Akin to whiting. Give it a good sauce.
