REMARKS Maximum length 35 cm. Has large eyes. Silver, with a black spot where the pectoral fin joins the body.

CUISINE As for the pandora, but somewhat ‘dry’ for just grilling. Escudier recommends preparing it for this by letting it stand in a marinade of olive oil (with salt) for a couple of hours.
