REMARKS Maximum length 70 cm. Has a yellowish back and sides, with up to thirty thin diagonal wavy lines, blue bordered with black, on each side. The ombrine is found throughout the Mediterranean and, rarely, in the Black and Azov Seas. It favours rocky coastal areas.
