  • About

Family Balistidae

REMARKS Maximum length 40 cm. A strange fish, with strong teeth. They are said to swim around in pairs. If you hook one pull it in quickly or the other will bite through the line.

Although the trigger-fish is known throughout the Mediterranean it is more common in the southerly parts. Thus it is regularly taken in Tunisian waters, but rarely off the Italian mainland.
