Agrocybe paludosa (J.E. Lange) Kühner & Romagn. (illustrated 60% life size) Cap 1.5–3cm across, convex then flattened with broad umbo; dirty cream to pale tan, especially at centre. Stem 40–70×2–3mm; cream, flushed with cap colour; rather broad and fragile ring near apex. Flesh whitish in cap, brownish in stem; thin; smell of meal. Gills adnate; pale at first, then darker brown. Spores 9–10×5–5.5¼, ovate-elliptical. Spore print light cigar-brown. Cap cuticle cellular. Habitat in marshy meadows; late spring to summer. Uncommon. Not edible.
