Allspice

The dried berries of the pimento tree combine the flavour of several spices, tasting particularly of nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Available whole or powdered, allspice is used in pickles, relishes, pilaus, fruit cakes, mince pies, fruit pies, milk puddings and plum pudding.
