  • About
These seeds are now discouraged from use because of its relation to opium. How ironic given that my mother’s family fortune was derived from opium farms. It is worth noting that the poppy seeds used in cooking, e.g. sprinkled on bagels, are mature seeds and not the unripe seeds that produce morphine. Kas kas was used as a gravy thickener.
