Originated in Georgia. This is one of the standard commercial peaches. The fruit is large, slightly oval, with a combination of deep golden and blush-red skin. It has firm, juicy yellow flesh. Freestone. Season: Midseason. (There is also an Early Elberta and the old variety, Fay Elberta, both with a resemblance to the Elberta.)
