Piri-piri the Mozambican word for the ‘bird’s eye chilli’. Mixed with garlic and lemon it also known as ‘piri piri sauce’ by the Portuguese who colonised Mozambique. It is famous on chicken but can also be used on seafood, fish and vegetables. Each version is unique.
