kampyo This Japanese product, dried gourd strips, is sold packaged in Japanese and Korean groceries. To use, measure off the length you need, then boil and soak in flavorings as instructed (see Classic Sushi Roll-Ups) before placing in futo-maki rolls. It adds texture and a little color and flavor to the rolls.
