rice bran oil Rice is low in oil, but an oil is extracted from the bran and germ after the bran and germ have been cleaned from the rice during milling. Rice bran oil is rich in Vitamin E, linoleic acid, and plant sterols. India, China (including Taiwan), and Japan are all important producers. Rice bran oil is available in some natural foods stores.
