Whip to Soft Peaks

As an accompaniment, cream is best whipped to soft peaks. Cream whipped to the “soft peak” stage will be very thick and have lots of body. The cream will be thick enough to form well-defined peaks that slowly droop over themselves when the beaters are lifted.
