Chinese flowering cabbage is part of the large mustard green cabbage family and is found frequently in dishes in China, especially in the south, where it is usually known by the more familiar Cantonese name, choi sum. Chinese flowering cabbage has green leaves and may have small yellow flowers which are eaten along with the leaves and stems. In China this is one of the most common and popular leafy vegetables and is delicious stir-fried.
