The drive up to Inverawe Smokehouses winds through beautiful mixed woodland to a plateau of fish-stocked lochans, a peaceful lily pond, fields, smokehouses and a shop with a café. Here, above the River Awe, visitors can fly-fish for the stocked rainbow and brown trout or enjoy a selection of the smoked products, which include cold- and hot-smoked salmon, cold-smoked trout, roast-smoked salmon pâté, kippers and smoked duck. Inverawe Smokehouses is one of the most renowned smokehouses in Scotland and got the royal warrant in 2000, which means it supplies smoked salmon and smoked trout to the Queen.
