  • About

Located at the heart of Braemar, a picturesque village famous for its Highland Gathering attended by the Queen, the Fife Arms draws visitors from far and wide to experience a taste of how wealthy Highlanders lived – with a menu to match. The restoration of this Victorian hotel has been a passionate project conceived by its art-dealer owners Iwan and Manuela Wirth, bringing together ‘Scottish heritage, craftsmanship and culture along with world-class contemporary art’.

Opulent yet homely, the hotel is wildly romantic, lavishly decorative, artistically indulgent and sumptuously comfortable. Persian carpets, antiques, objets d’art and strings of antlers are a theme throughout the hotel, the Flying Stag Bar and in the Clunie Dining room, where a handsome, full-sized stag greets you for dinner.
