Nucleotides

The nucleic acids DNA and RNA are composed of molecules called nucleotides (see Nucleic Acids); of these, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and guanosine triphosphate (GTP) from RNA give rise to two of the umami-tasting molecules in our food.
