Garnishes for Dumplings

The following garnishes are used with dumplings, noodles or macaroni when served in place of a vegetable:
Onions, cut fine and fried in butter or other fat are sprinkled over the top.
Scrambled eggs are mixed through the Kloese.
Cracker or stale ginger bread crumbs are sprinkled over the top.
Grated American cheese or cottage cheese with salt and pepper may be used.
Chopped walnuts or sugar and cinnamon mixed with cracker crumbs.
