Said to be the first spirit of the New World, having been produced in Barbados and Jamaica in the mid-seventeenth century. This overly delicious yet underrated spirit is made from molasses and sugarcane juice or syrup. Various spices can be added to create the popular spiced rum. We favor California native Crusoe Organic Spiced Rum as well as the Chairman’s Reserve Spiced.
