I experimented with multiple styles and preparations of kava, and found that even as a person who is fine with high-maintenance foods, the noninstant kavas were too much of a pain for me. I suggest the instant type that can be blended into a drink over the powder that needs a ten-minute massage (no joke, it does!). All forms are available online and on Amazon. Note that I don’t recommend getting kava with ingredients added, or it will affect the taste of the kava cocktail recipes in this book.
