  • About

The literature that concerns wine specifically, as opposed to references to wine in more general writing (for which see english literature), is a complicated tapestry of texts and books that has been woven from a broad variety of strands from classical times to the present day. Most writers concern themselves with how and where grapes are grown, how and where wine is made, and how individual wines taste, but their methods vary considerably and there are works on wine which are also works on travel, on history, on medicine, on agricultural matters, and on gastronomy.
