Mara, red grapevine cross created at changins from Gamay and Reichensteiner and released in 2009, 19 years later than its sister crosses gamaret and garanoir. The wines are fruity, spicy, and rich in colour. It was planted on about 6 ha/14 acres in Switzerland in 2012.
