  • About
THE CHAPTERS IN THE PAGES THAT FOLLOW feature flavors that have been made famous at our shop in Brooklyn. While most ice cream cookbooks divide their flavors seasonally—pineapples and strawberries in the summertime, apples in the fall, and chocolate in the winter—at Ample Hills, we like eating chocolate in spring, too, and apples in summer, and yes, even pineapples in the winter. It all depends on what mood we’re in.

At Ample Hills, there’s ice cream for any occasion. There’s an ice cream for when you’re tearfully watching When Harry Met Sally. Or when you have the late-night epiphany that potato chips, pretzels, and ice cream would taste really good together. There’s an ice cream for when you miss your grandmother’s cookies, for when you need a drink, for when you want to celebrate. And yes, there’s also good old-fashioned strawberry ice cream.
