Most of the basic tools and equipment you’ll need to get started can be found in the housewares section of supermarkets or in kitchen-supply stores. Home-canning kits usually include a large canning pot fitted with a metal jar rack, a cover for the pot, a funnel for filling jars, a magnetic lid wand, a jar lifter, and a spatula.
