Acknowledgments

To my collaborator, Stephanie Banyas, who saw a book before anyone else could. She took random, often wildly inappropriate ideas with recipes in grams and wove a golden web, crafting a book far beyond anything I could have imagined.

To my photographer, Carol Lee, who surprises me every day with another talent she seemingly picked up on the way to work. I am in awe of her and grateful for her belief in the BarBacon project and her desire to continue on the journey.
