It should be clear by now that I love to push the flavor boundaries in pastry with complex harmonies. However, the soul of this book will always be about simple pleasures because there is nothing I love more than cooking with loved ones then pigging out together. No matter what era it is or what is happening in the world, one thing will always be true: food brings people together. That idea drives me constantly to push myself. I bring joy to my work because I love what I do. But my work can make people happy, which brings the joy right back to me. This love of sharing is what makes pastry so special to me, and I hope that Baking with Licker can empower you to feel this slice of delight for yourself.
