Layer Cakes

Building a simple layer cake is a formula consisting of three components: a cake layer, a frosting, and a filling. You can take any of the master cake recipes and frostings in this book to create a layer cake. For fillings, you can simply use the frosting that you choose to ice with as your filling. You could also use jams, curds, whipped cream, fresh fruit, ganache, or pastry cream.
