  • About

Our last decorative project employs a couple of new techniques, including the method used to silk screen a pattern onto the side wall of the bread box, and the patterning of the top of the box. The box here is 7 inches in diameter. To determine the length needed for the silk screen, multiply the diameter by π (pi, which equals 3.14): 7 X 3.14 = 21.98 inches for the length of the silk screen. To make the box, you will need a silk screen of suitable length, some cocoa paste, a flat-sided plastic dough scraper, a patterned rolling pin, and a couple of round rings, one that is 7 inches in diameter for the box perimeter and another that is 9 inches in diameter to cut the box lid.
