This chapter is inspired by one of my favorite places on earth, San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. The Wharf has had a special spot in my heart ever since my family and I ran the Bay to Breakers dressed as Velveeta cheese, inspired by an old Herb Caen article in the San Francisco Chronicle (which is also the first time I saw naked people running a race, but I digress). The recipes include a pizza based on my favorite cream cheese and lox bagel and pizzas containing shrimp, crab, and clams.
