Ice cream, to our Western palates, seems a logical conclusion to a Chinese meal. It’s refreshingly cool and sweet—a return to something that’s familiar after the exotic heat of the meal.
If the customers at China Moon are any index, ice cream is the overwhelming dessert favorite among Americans of every ethnic stripe. While our spicy fresh ginger ice cream outsells all our other desserts combined, our “daily special” ice creams follow in close pursuit. Surely there must be an ice cream button in the brain of every American! One push and our tongues start wagging.
