  • About
When it comes to shrimp, don’t be fooled by promises of “fresh” and don’t be put off by the word “frozen.” Unless you are in a place where you can buy shrimp right off the boat, all shrimp have been frozen. Once out of the water, shrimp deteriorate very quickly, and for this reason, they are usually processed and flash frozen. Most shrimp are sold with the head removed because that’s the first part to go as they “age.”
Before we get to some of my favorite shrimp recipes, let’s go over some useful preparation techniques.
