  • About

A family favourite, trifles are seen in many forms, usually made with a sponge soaked with sherry, liqueur or fruit juice, and layered with various combinations of fruit, custard and cream. Though jelly is often added, it is not an original ingredient. The word comes from trufle, an old French word meaning something of little importance.
