Method
  1. Put 60 ml (2 fl oz/¼ cup) water into a glass bowl and sprinkle on the gelatine evenly. Leave the gelatine to sponge, without stirring — it will swell
  2. Add the sponged gelatine to a hot liquid and stir well to dissolve it (or place the bowl over hot water and stir until the gelatine has dissolved).
